Time 2 Go Natural laundry shells are soapnuts in truly natural form - a gift of Mother Nature from the majestic Himalayas. It is a fruit of a tree called sapindus, from the family sapindaceae. They are mostly found in two varieties and the one with more saponin (soap) is called mukorossi. It has a small seed 1-2 cm in diameter, yellow when ripening, brownish when ready. Our soap nut shells are the best from the mukorossi variety.
 
Soap Nuts are naturally low sudsing and when in contact with water they release saponins, which circulate as a Natural Surfactant freeing the laundry from dirt. They have a very distinct fragrance but after the wash, the laundry comes out clean and fresh.
 
Soap Nut shells have many helpful natural properties and medicinal qualities. Their antimicrobial property makes them non polluting for our water ways, helpful for septic tanks and grey water systems. Being gentle and hypoallergenic  they are a perfect baby detergent for diapers, baby linens and clothing, and for people with sensitive skin as it does NOT cause any rashes, itches & allergies. They also help to remove bad odors in musty towels, cloth diapers, etc.
 
Soapnuts are a high efficiency laundry detergent and an Eco-Friendly alternative to the commercial laundry detergents, as they act as a Mild Natural Softener and are gentle on clothes, which help to preserve the colors and structure of the clothing. In addition, they are safe for even the most delicate fabrics—from cotton, wool and rayon to silk and linen, further they allow to save on dry cleaning (yet another source of harmful chemicals!).
 
Many fabric softeners and laundry detergents contain synthetic chemicals, which could irritate the skin and are harmful to human beings and our environment. Our soap nut shells are free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate(SLS) and other harmful chemicals.
 
Soap nut shells in a single bag (up to 8-10 half shells) can be used for multiple load of laundry, and after use they can be composted in your garden, making them good for you, your baby, your plants—and our planet! This HE detergent is all natural so it does not contain any added optical brightener or bleaching agents, which have a long term toxic effects on our body and the skin.
 
Most allergic reactions from soap are due to added chemicals and some times added synthetic fragrances, since our natural laundry cleaner is non – allergenic and chemical free so it greatly reduces the risk of any reaction with the skin.
 
Chemicals may clean our clothes, but they do not clean the environment. In fact, they do just the opposite by polluting our rivers, streams and lakes, adversely affecting the marine life — and they make our water treatment plants work harder, than they should, to keep our water clean and free of toxins.

Direction for Use:

Washing in warm or hot water - For Medium Standard load put 8-10 of the half shells in the wash bag supplied and tighten the bag securely, put the wash bag into the washing machine along with the laundry. After wash, it is advisable to take the bag out with the laundry before putting the laundry in the drier and let the bag with the soap nut shells dry for reuse.
 
Washing in Cold Water – For Medium Standard load, put 8-10 of the half shells in the wash bag supplied and tighten the bag securely. For better results put the wash bag in some warm water for 3-4 minutes, now put the liquid and the wash bag with the shells into the washing machine along with the laundry. Wash as usual. After wash, it is advisable to take the bag out with the laundry before putting the laundry in the drier and let the bag with the soap nut shells dry for reuse. 
Shells can be used normally for 3-5 washes depending on standard or high efficiency washes and on the quality and temperature of water used. The Laundry Shells can be used more often when washing at normal temperatures while washing at high temperatures they should be used only once.

Avoid filling up the laundry to full in the washing machine for better results. Wash light and dark colors separately.

Please Note:

Washing Whites

Since Time 2 Go Natural Laundry Liquid Concentrate is 100% Natural, it does not contain any added polluting chemicals such as brighteners, fillers and bleaching agents, which are hazardous and not safe for our health and our environment.

When washing whites we suggest use of a non-chlorine bleach such as sodium per carbonate before starting the wash cycle.
We shall be adding to our product line, shortly, a top quality sodium per carbonate, which is the safest and most natural whitening agent currently available.

For Hard Stains

Like other grocery store purchased laundry detergents do not remove hard and tough stains, a stain remover could be needed to remove hard and tough stains.
We are in the process of developing a Natural Stain Remover and adding it shortly to our existing all natural product line.
 
Adding Fragrance

In case any fragrance is required, you can add your favorite essential oil in the potency as per instructions but we would recommend the use of a natural fragrance oil and not a synthetic fragrance oil. Since essential oils are normally concentrated and rarely used in undiluted form we would suggest direct addition of the essential oil might be minimized or avoided, instead add the essential oil in the right dosage on a rag and put it in the dryer.

Safety:

They are safe & non-toxic but we recommend to keep away from children and pets. Do not swallow

Storage:

These Laundry Shells should be stored and kept in an airtight container as they absorb moisture very quickly and become dark & sticky when left exposed to moist air.

However if the Laundry shells become sticky due to absorbed moisture, it does not mean that they have gone bad, they will still wash & clean but with a much lower efficiency.
